1820's-1840's Lowell Mill Girl's Dress

This pattern is a typical dress used by women who wove fabrics at the Lowell Mill.  It has a fitted bodice with a slightly elivated waist.  The sleeves are large at the top and tappered to the wrist.  The slimmer pleated skirt would have been worn over layers of starched corded petticoats and several petticoats.  It also includes a Pelerine or small cape.  The dress and Pelerine require 7 1/4- 7 3/4 yds., depending on the size.  It is multi sized, 8-20.  This pattern is by Past Patterns.  Patterns are not returnable, refundable or exchangeable.
